Fransburg B.P.C.

History Page

The Fransburg B.P.C. was formed in April 2001 by SCUFFLE founder Adam Franssen - but this wasn't his first effort at a SCUFFLE franchise.  Check out the long and storied history of the Fransburg teams.

1998 South Park Beefcakes - Born in the inagural year of the SCUFFLE, the Beefcakes were designed as a secondary team to Adam's Fransburg Force in the JISM-FFL.  The Beefcakes fared well, making the playoffs (back when there was not LST) and eventually losing the title game to the Anaheim Annihilators.  However, with the rise of the TV show South Park, Adam felt that his team was over-commercialized.  With the merger of the JSIM-FFL and the SCUFFLE in 1999, the Beefcakes were disbanded and the Force moved in.
1999 Fransburg Force - Coming off of a heartbreaking loss in the JISM-FFL title game, the Force attacked the SCUFFLE schedule.  Despite a 7-5 regular season record and a first round BST loss, the Force stormed through the LST and became Little SCUFFLE Champs. Heading into 2000, the Force had momentum.
2000 Fransburg Force - In 2K, the Force struggled mightily.  Their draft was weak and Keeper Emmitt Smith failed to bring in big points week in and week out.  The Force tumbled to a 3-9 record, second worst in the league both in record and scoring. Their LST effort instantly turned sour and they fought for their lives to avoid being World's Worst.  After two season, the Force were the fourth worst all-time in the SCUFFLE.  Sensing that commercialism was once again behind the failure, Adam made another change.
2001 Fransburg Banded Palm Civets - Adam "Dr." Franssen feels that he has finally found the perfect formula - stick to what you know, and avoid what anyone else knows.  Thus, the Palm Civets - he feels that the whole "science nerd" thing should work wonders for his fantasy football team.  The Civets inherit a nice stable of potential keepers.  But the questions linger: can Adam manage to draft a good team?  In 2001, we'll see if the Dr. is in or out!
The doctor was in!  The Civets busted on the scene, finishing 8-4 and eventually bringing the Little SCUFFLE championship back to Fransburg.
2002
Fransburg Banded Palm Civets - Man, this season sucked.  3-10-1, this wasn't even the worst team in the league.  However, 785 points against and 3 straight playoff game losses say otherwise.  Note to self, if you want a shot to win it all, don't take Edge James in the first round when he's coming off an injury.  Oh yeah, and don't take stupid Johnny Morton in the third round.  Damn.  Go BPC in '03!
