Weldin's Woodchucks Defeat Depleted Crushers

The Cleveland Crushers were the surprise team of 2004, as they won their division and took down the OSC crown.  The Crushers are the only team to have "won" the World's Worst tournament twice.  With the second pick in the draft, however, they were able to nab Ladainian Tomlinson.  Tomlinson was a force all season long, but the Chargers were playoff bound, so he sat out in week 17, costing the Crushers the game.

The Woodchucks were somewhat surprising themselves, as they parlayed the 16th pick in the draft into the best team in the league in 2004.  They got great play from unexpected places, such as QB Jake Delhomme and RB Domanick Davis.

The Woodchucks got solid play from their RB corps of Davis and rookie Kevin Jones, and this coupled by a workman-like 10 point effort from Delhomme made up for their slumping defense.

In an interesting sidenote, Big SCUFFLE VII marked the second consecutive season that QB Marc Bulger found himself on the losing end of the title game.
