Built for Big Red's inaugural season in 1998, the Coliseum has been shrouded in secrecy during the intervening years. With recent efforts to improve franchise standing in the league, however, the Blazers front office is moving to put a more public face on the stadium. Guided tours like the one below are now provided on a regular basis. "We're proud of the Coliseum, and we think it's time it got more attention," says Stadium Director Titus.

"The Coliseum is an open air stadium to allow for both aerial and terrestrial spectators. Many have commented on this fortuitous design, since Big Red originated as the Beatdown with no reference at all to dragons." Titus laughs, "Really, they LOVE football. They came to all the Beatdown games.  That's why we changed our mascot."

"The masonry of the stadium is just amazing. Pillars and sculptures decorate the interior and exterior. All seats in the Colisuem are carved marble benches. The hard surface has little effect on the home crowd - Blazers fans don't sit during games anyway. Visitors used to bring those foamy seat cushions.  Since the 9/11 tragedy, however, security has forbidden them, citing anonymous tips regarding terrorist plots to smother American football fans."  Titus shrugs his shoulders, "It gives the security guards an excuse to frisk all the hot chicks, so what the hell? Also, people under four feet tall are not permitted, again because of their potential use as weapons."

"The Coliseum also has a state-of-the-art fitness complex complete with weight and cardiovascular training equipment. Blazers owner Brigitte Arduini often exercises in the facility herself, where she can oversee the progress of the hotties...er, players while she rides the bike or elliptical machine."

"And, of course, there are vendors everywhere.  All the standard concessions are available during games - hot dogs, nachos, beer, etc.  Dragon-toasted s'mores, a local favorite, is also on the menu."

"Well, thanks for taking the tour!  We hope to see you in the stands this fall!"
